Aoun Calls Bahrain King on Solidarity and Reforms

President Joseph Aoun emphasized that the success of the Public Procurement Authority in fulfilling its duties is essential for restoring the trust of donor institutions and friendly countries. He stressed that good governance of public procurement is part of Lebanon’s economic and financial recovery plan. He also regarded the Authority as being on the front lines of protecting public funds, and its success as a key part of Lebanon’s overall effort to regain stability and fight corruption. Additionally, he announced the promulgation of the bank reform and restructuring law approved by Parliament. He expressed Lebanon's solidarity with Bahrain following recent attacks on the country, having contacted the Bahraini president to discuss bilateral relations as well as economic and political cooperation between the two nations.
