Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the signing of agreements with Canada worth over two billion Canadian dollars. The agreements include a defense package exceeding one billion dollars to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses. The package supports Patriot missile systems and ammunition for F-16 aircraft, as well as joint production projects for drones between the two countries. Canada also provided 350 million dollars to enhance air defense, and an additional 450 million dollars as guarantees to finance energy supplies, to help Ukraine get through the winter and repair infrastructure. Zelensky called for the acceleration of sanctions against Russia, especially to halt the production of ballistic missiles, and affirmed that Canada will remain alongside Ukraine, with plans to discuss with the United States strategies for ending the war.
