Social Security announced exemptions and installment plans

The Public Relations Directorate at the National Social Security Fund announced that its Director-General, Mohamed Korki, has issued a decision to cancel the debts of citizens and institutions accumulated until the end of 2000, excluding debts owed to the state and public legal entities. Additionally, other debts will be reduced by 85% for payments due until the end of 2025, with the option to installment them over five years at an annual interest rate of 5%. The decision also includes exemptions for old debts resulting from unpaid contributions or periods, aimed at facilitating the resolution of beneficiaries' files, stimulating economic activity, and improving the provision of health and social services to about a third of the Lebanese population. Korki urged beneficiaries and employers to take advantage of this measure to improve their financial and administrative status.
