AUB and CMA CGM form partnership

The American University of Beirut and the CMA CGM Group have signed an agreement to establish the "CMA CGM Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Insights," within the College of Computing and Data Sciences, with a funding of $10 million from the group. The institute aims to promote research and innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science, develop specialized educational programs, and train new talents in Lebanon and the region. This partnership is part of the university’s efforts to keep pace with technological advancements, boost research and development, and solidify Lebanon’s position as a hub for smart information and decision-making, with a focus on applications in logistics, medicine, climate, and the humanities.
