Ministry of Environment Offers Waste Management Training

The Lebanese Ministry of Environment, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme and with the support of the European Union, launched its first training sessions for municipalities in Mount Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, with the participation of over 120 municipal representatives. The training focused on implementing the cost recovery law for solid waste management, while also enhancing the municipalities' skills in executing an integrated waste management approach based on source separation, reuse, and recycling, with the aim of transitioning to a circular economy. This course is part of a broader training program designed to support municipalities in applying the new waste management framework across all regions of Lebanon.
