Al-Araji: Mission in Iraq concluded, security partnership ongoing

The Iraqi Prime Minister's Security Advisor, Qasim al-Araji, stated that the conclusion of the international coalition led by the United States in Iraq marks a strategic transitional phase aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with the same countries, rather than ending security and intelligence cooperation. He explained that this shift enhances national sovereignty and serves the interests of the Iraqi people, while praising the vital role played by the international coalition in supporting Iraq against ISIS. He emphasized that the upcoming phase will focus on building strong security and intelligence relations, exchanging information and expertise, and working together to achieve stability and promote development. These statements come as part of the Iraqi government's strategy to balance consolidating sovereignty with maintaining open security channels with the international community to prevent the return of terrorist threats.
