Fly Dubai pilot and assistant triggered false distress signal

A news report revealed that the pilot and his co-pilot on board a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made a mistake that led them to unintentionally press the emergency signal button during an argument. This caused the aircraft to change course and land in Saudi Arabia instead of Tel Aviv, as the plane did not have authorization to land at Ben Gurion Airport. The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated that the aircraft was not in a hijacking situation and that inspections and crew interrogations will be carried out to determine the circumstances of the incident.
