Saudi Arabia Denies Meeting Netanyahu in UAE

Saudi Arabia denied having any official representation at the Abu Dhabi meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which took place on Sunday. A Saudi official told AFP that there are no official meetings or discussions ongoing between Saudi Arabia and Israel, and the Kingdom's stance on Israel has not changed. It is worth noting that the UAE signed normalization agreements with Israel in 2020, and there had been negotiations between Saudi Arabia and Israel to normalize relations before they were halted due to the Gaza war in October 2023, with the Palestinian issue remaining a key condition for any normalization.
