Shepherd in Al-Jibah highlights education's role

The visit of Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Pierre Rai to schools in the Jbaa area focused on the importance of the school as an educational institution. However, it goes beyond that to become a pillar for the survival of families in their villages and a safety valve for the presence of Christians and humanity in mountainous regions. The visit emphasized the educational role in shaping a person's character, instilling values and morals, and connecting children to their land and community. The discussion also highlighted the challenges faced by schools in rural areas due to economic conditions and families' difficulty in affording the costs of education. The visit called for supporting small schools, which face financial and administrative challenges, to ensure their continued existence, thereby promoting ongoing life and upbringing in these regions.
