Israeli Defense Minister: Flight Attempted Terror Attack
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated that the incident involving the Fly Dubai aircraft was an attempt to carry out a jihadist terrorist operation, where the attacker intended to destroy the plane along with everyone on board. The attack was thwarted thanks to the actions of Israeli passengers who stormed the cockpit, leading to the destruction of the terrorist plot and dispelling fears of a hijacking. Investigations suggest that the incident may have been a terrorist act, with evidence indicating that one of the pilots attempted to stab the other and destroy the aircraft, amidst a tense security situation in the region.
