Al-Hajar lauds electronic passport system in Washington

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Hajjjar received the Director General of General Security, Major General Hassan Shkeir. He was briefed on the security situation and the progress of the Directorate’s work in maintaining safety and stability, as well as facilitating citizens’ transactions. Major General Shkeir also informed the Minister about the launch of the electronic fingerprinting service for Lebanese passports in Detroit and Washington. Hajjjar praised the efforts made in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. Additionally, the meeting discussed improving services at the Vehicle and Machinery Registration Department and the importance of strengthening security measures, especially after increasing monitoring of transportation violations and illegal labor.
