Army urges defected personnel to clarify status

The Lebanese Army leadership has called on military personnel who have defected or been discharged due to desertion, and who have not previously settled their legal status, to complete the necessary legal procedures at the Permanent Military Court. It emphasized that issuing a discharge decision and a clearance certificate do not exempt individuals from completing the legal process. The leadership also stressed the importance of adhering to instructions to avoid legal repercussions, clarifying that not obtaining a clearance certificate does not prevent the initiation of settlement procedures. Additionally, it urged individuals to contact the court via WhatsApp to facilitate the completion of procedures, providing the required documents such as a personal ID and discharge paper.
