Qalibaf on U.S. Treasury About Energy Prices

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf responded to statements made by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bissett, pointing out that the U.S. economy is facing pressures due to rising energy prices and the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that the increase in U.S. Treasury bond yields, especially the 30-year bonds reaching their highest levels since 2002, is strengthening the financial and international challenges confronting Washington. Ghalibaf also called on the United States to address these issues by respecting the rights of the Iranian people, noting the impact of regional and economic developments on the American economy.
