September private generator prices

The Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water provides a dedicated tariff for private generators for September 2026, based on an average price of 2,675,217 Lebanese pounds per tank of fuel (mazout). The rate is determined per kilowatt-hour, amounting to 52,840 LBP for subscribers in cities or densely populated areas, and 58,124 LBP for subscribers in remote or high-altitude areas. Fixed fees are added depending on the meter capacity (5 or 10 amps). The tariff covers fuel costs, maintenance, and profit margins. Companies are committed not to impose illegal taxes or additional fees, nor to use solar energy devices in a manner that increases costs. The ministry also emphasizes the necessity of installing meters for subscribers and directs oversight to ensure compliance with the official tariff, with updates to the formulas to account for economic fluctuations and exchange rate changes.
