Lebanon's Initiative Race and Political bravado

Lebanon fails to assert its authority over its territories, especially in Mount Rihan, Sijd Hills, and Western Beqaa, amidst escalating Israeli risks and its readiness to carry out military operations against Hezbollah and Iran's positions in the area. Despite warnings and predictions, the Lebanese state has not taken concrete steps to enforce its sovereignty, increasing the likelihood of repeating previous scenarios of withdrawals and military setbacks. Information indicates that the Israeli army is planning to clear the region of Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Guard presence, and that there are efforts by the U.S. administration to push Lebanon to take action and remove the party from the targeted areas, in order to prevent a military escalation that could lead to expanded Israeli operations.
