Russia's strategy to plunge Ukraine into darkness and cold

Ukraine reveals a potential Russian plan to target energy and water facilities during the winter in order to cause widespread electricity and warmth shortages, using up to a thousand missiles, drones, and bombs. The planned targets include destroying all three nuclear power plants and water and heating infrastructure, raising concerns over serious humanitarian and economic consequences for the population—especially as winter approaches and Ukrainian emergency plans face significant limitations. According to a document submitted by Kyiv to its European partners, this plan is part of a systematic Russian campaign to disrupt the country's vital infrastructure.
