Hospital Syndicate: Tariffs Must Cover Costs

The Hospitals Syndicate in Lebanon emphasized the need to amend its health benefit definitions to ensure coverage of the actual costs of the services provided, which have increased due to rising prices of fuel, medical supplies, hospitality services, and staff salaries. This statement followed a meeting with the Minister of Health, who requested the preparation of a scientific study to determine the necessary adjustments, with the goal of avoiding additional burdens on patients and addressing the severe financial crisis currently affecting the healthcare sector.
