President Aoun Meets Muslim Council Leader on Interfaith Dialogue

President of the Republic of Lebanon, General Joseph Aoun, discussed with the Secretary-General of the Islamic Scholars Council, Advisor Muhammad Abd Al-Salam, the importance of dialogue between religions and cultures to promote social peace and the values of coexistence. Aoun praised the role of the United Arab Emirates in supporting initiatives of tolerance and human brotherhood and invited Sheikh Al-Azhar, Professor Ahmed Al-Tayeb, to visit Lebanon. Abd Al-Salam emphasized that Lebanon holds a special place due to its religious and cultural diversity and its historical experience in communal coexistence.
