Lebanon strike enters 21st day inmates' toll

A total of 544 prisoners in Lebanese prisons continue their open strike against food and medication for the twenty-first day, protesting the freezing of the general amnesty law. The number of critical cases has risen to 55, with one prisoner transferred to the hospital after his health deteriorated, amid fears of the spread of tuberculosis within the prisons. The prisoners are demanding their prompt release and are growing more enraged, considering that neglecting their demands only worsens their suffering.
