Fly Dubai flight crew linked to Israel

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" revealed that Israeli authorities had previously received a list of passengers and crew members of the "Fly Dubai" aircraft that a Omani co-pilot attempted to hijack. However, it remains unclear whether this list was subjected to security checks before the flight. A new law, enacted in 2023, requires airlines to send passenger and crew data 48 hours in advance. However, security officials indicated that the intelligence screening capabilities needed for thorough verification are only available to Mossad and Shin Bet. This raises questions about the extent of security measures applied to the flight and whether the authorities failed to prevent the hijacking attempt, which aimed to kill as many Israelis as possible.
