Syrian and Lebanese passes at Ben Gurion

An Israeli investigation has revealed security gaps at Ben Gurion Airport, showing that pilots and flight attendants holding Lebanese and Syrian passports, along with other nationalities considered "hostile" by Israel, have managed to pass through the airport over the years. This information comes in the context of an investigation into an attempted attack on a Fly Dubai aircraft, raising concerns about potential lapses in screening procedures for foreign flight crew members. Questions have increased regarding the extent of Israeli authorities' responsibility in vetting the backgrounds of these workers, especially given the repeated cases of airline crews entering with passports from countries Israel considers enemies. The connection between these security gaps and the recent incident involving the aircraft suggests the presence of a widespread security failure.
