Iran appoints acting Petroleum Minister

After the Iranian Minister of Oil’s resignation was accepted, Iranian President Eshaq Jahangiri appointed Hamed Bourd as acting Minister of Oil by presidential decree. This comes amid crises and geopolitical tensions, including escalated attacks by the Israeli occupation forces on southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, as well as Yemeni military operations targeting Saudi objectives. Yemeni forces managed to confront two Saudi F-15 combat formations in Taiz and forced them to leave. The events are occurring during a period marked by regional military and political escalation, amid continued aggression and attacks. Reports of casualties have circulated, highlighting acts of resistance and Arab countermeasures against Israeli aggressions.
