The Syrian Ministry of Information reaffirmed Damascus's firm support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of threats to its security and stability. It emphasized that its policy in the region is based on stability, peace, and cooperation, rather than opening new fronts. It clarified that any military cooperation with partner countries will only be conducted through official channels and bilateral frameworks. Meanwhile, Syria is considering options to provide military assistance to Saudi Arabia, in light of rising tensions with the Houthi movement in Yemen. This may include offering defensive support or deploying Syrian forces to assist Yemeni troops. However, Syria has also indicated that the current priority is domestic rebuilding and achieving stability. It confirmed that military cooperation serves the interests of reconstruction and security enhancement, within an official framework aligned with its internal policies and development plans.
