Iraqi Airways Restores Tehran Flights

Iraqi Airways has resumed its Najaf-Tehran route after several months of suspension, following the receipt of a U.S. exemption that allows flights to Iran to operate within the imposed sanctions. The first flight landed at Khomeini Airport on Thursday morning, with plans for regular daily flights between Najaf and Tehran, Mashhad, and Isfahan airports. The goal is to facilitate passenger movement and provide continuous air travel options between Iraq and Iran. This exemption pertains to authorized air services and reflects the company's efforts to restart flights despite the U.S. sanctions imposed on Iranian aviation.
