Lebanese Consumer Agency conducts 18,172 inspections

The Consumer Protection Directorate at the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon announced that during the current year up to October 2, it conducted over 18,170 field inspections and referred 924 enforcement reports against violators as part of its market oversight campaigns. The directorate received 1,925 consumer complaints through the electronic application and hotline, and responded to 190 complaints within one week (from September 28 to October 2). It also repeated its campaigns with 492 field checks, resulting in the issuance of 37 enforcement reports. The campaigns aim to enhance consumer protection and crack down on commercial violations across various regions of Lebanon.
