Yemen Rights Body Condemns Sanaa Attacks

The National Human Rights Commission in Yemen condemned the Saudi-led coalition's targeting of civilian objects in Sanaa. The coalition aircraft conducted airstrikes on the Sama Al-Nahda Building Material and Electricity Factory in Al-Jumhama, and on a sponge factory in Shumlan. They considered these attacks to be war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law, as they target civilian facilities not used for military purposes, leading to the destruction of the national economy, threatening civilian lives, and terrifying innocent populations. The commission called on the international community to condemn these crimes and to conduct an independent international investigation. It emphasized that such escalations would only deepen the suffering of the Yemeni people and rejected any tolerance of attacks on factories and civilian sites.
