The Lebanese army thwarted a smuggling operation along its border with Syria. In the Jard Arsal area, a smuggler was detained after an armed clash, and approximately 117 kilograms of drugs were seized, including hashish and Captagon pills, along with weapons and ammunition. In a separate operation in the Qasr – Hermel area, rocket shells and about 24 kilograms of TNT were confiscated, which were intended for smuggling into Lebanon. This is part of the army's ongoing efforts to monitor the borders and prevent the smuggling of weapons and explosives.
