Iran's $200M Transfer to Hezbollah
The data indicates that $200 million has been transferred from Iran to Hezbollah to fund its activities, carried out through parallel financial mechanisms despite strict American sanctions. The party focuses on an informal cash-based economy that relies on a barter and value trading system, making it easier to transfer and cash out funds outside the Lebanese banking system, which has been in decline since the 2019 crisis. Washington calls for the closure of the "Al-Qaition Al-Hassan" institution, considering it the main financial arm of the group, and emphasizes the need for economic and financial reforms in Lebanon, including restructuring the banking sector to promote transparency and combat money laundering.
