Mass at Our Lady of Lebanon Paris for Bechara al-Rahi statue

A celebratory mass was held at Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral in Paris to mark the placement of the first statue and relics of the Venerable Patriarch Elias Hoyek in France. The event was attended by Deputy Gebran Bassil, who presented a bust of the Patriarch. The ceremony included unveiling and blessing the statue, as well as honoring the relics of Hoyek, provided by the Sisters of the Sacred Family of the Maronites. During the sermon, Bishop Peter Karam emphasized that building a united Lebanon requires respecting the constitution, ensuring judicial independence, and achieving justice. He also reaffirmed Patriarch Hoyek's vision of making Lebanon a homeland that brings together its people regardless of their religious affiliations, founded on equal citizenship and sovereignty.
