Saudi Arabia prolongs King Khalid Airport closure

The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia has extended the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh following the attacks targeting it, in order to verify the safety and operational readiness of the facilities, without specifying a date for resumption. Authorities stated that the attacks resulted in 13 deaths and more than 300 injuries, in addition to another attack that caused one fatality and 11 injuries. Meanwhile, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration issued a notice to travelers and pilots warning of potential risks to aircraft while crossing Saudi airspace. This warning remains in effect until December 10 due to military activity and interference with navigation systems.
