European Mission Aids Lebanon Tasks

The European Union Mission in Lebanon (EUSM Lebanon) is part of efforts to support the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces. It provides advice and training to enhance their operational capabilities and develop sustainable training structures. The mission also focuses on maritime security and port protection, including supporting the operations of the Port of Beirut, developing maritime capabilities, and strengthening border units on land. Additionally, it addresses cybercrime and smuggling issues, working to support Lebanon's stability and sovereignty through the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, in coordination with Lebanese authorities, European Union institutions, and the United Nations to achieve these objectives.
