FIFA Faces New Challenges Amid Infantino Allegations

Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, faced accusations of violating the organization's regulations after it was revealed that he received a secret salary package worth approximately 1.3 million pounds sterling, which was not disclosed in the 2024 annual report. US tax documents showed that the organizing company for the 2026 World Cup paid him an amount of $1.76 million, which violates transparency policies that require all compensation for the president to be publicly declared. Experts and former officials called for an immediate investigation into these violations, emphasizing that hiding these amounts constitutes a clear breach of the organization's rules.
