Shepherd to visit Greece tomorrow

The Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Al-Rahi visited Greece for the first time from October 15 to 19. The visit included three main aspects: religious pilgrimage, pastoral outreach, and ecumenical cooperation. The trip began with a pilgrimage to the city of Thessaloniki and Mount Athos, which involved meetings with monastic leaders and cultural and religious tours. Then, he traveled to Athens for meetings with the Archbishop of Greece and the Latin bishop, as well as celebrating a Maronite Mass in Greece. The visit also featured discussions with religious and secular officials, visits to historical sites, all aimed at strengthening the spiritual and cultural ties between Lebanon and Greece, and deepening relations between Maronite and Greek religious authorities.
