IMF to visit Lebanon next month

The International Monetary Fund announced that it will send an official mission to Lebanon next November to continue discussions on supporting the Lebanese economy. The talks will focus on restructuring the banking sector, restoring Lebanese citizens' trust in the financial system, and establishing mechanisms for the sustainability of public debt. The Fund emphasizes the necessity of accelerating structural reforms, including implementing legislation to address the banking sector's issues, enacting laws to bridge the financial gap according to international standards, and preparing the 2027 budget along with a medium-term financial framework.
