Pope Leo Starts Breathing Exercises

The Vatican announced that Pope Leo XIV, who is 71 years old, is recovering normally after undergoing surgery to remove a lung tumor. The lower part of his right lung was excised following his diagnosis with adenocarcinoma of the lung, the most common type of lung cancer. Test results and X-rays indicate that his condition appears stable, and the Pope was able to have breakfast. He is currently doing physiotherapy and breathing exercises. Further examinations are still needed to determine whether the cancer has spread beyond the original site.
