Yemen Child Killings at 20 Incidents

The article addresses the massacres that targeted children in Yemen during the years of war. It documents, through reports by human rights and humanitarian organizations, the killing of a large number of children in airstrikes and shelling on residential areas, cities, schools, markets, and displacement camps between March 2015 and July 2020. One of the notable incidents was the targeting of a school bus in Saada's Betan Market in 2018, which resulted in the death of 51 children. Other airstrikes on homes, markets, and schools have caused hundreds of casualties, often involving American-made munitions and confirming errors in the execution of these attacks. The facts demonstrate the expanding scope of targeting civilian areas and the killing of children during bombing operations, underscoring the importance of documenting these outcomes and identifying responsibilities to pursue those responsible for these massacres.
