Nigeria reports first Ebola case from Uganda

Nigeria has announced its first confirmed case of Ebola virus infection, following the arrival of the patient from Uganda, where she had been on a flight and was received at a private hospital. She is currently in quarantine and receiving medical care. In contrast, Uganda has confirmed that there are no active cases within its territory. Meanwhile, Kenya has recorded its ninth case of the virus, amid warnings of a widespread outbreak of the Bundibugyo strain, which is considered the most geographically extensive in history. It has affected several countries across three regions in Africa, leading to a surge in both cases and deaths. This situation urges the international community to take urgent action by providing funding and medical supplies.
