Hormoz Near Major Explosion

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards have raised the alert level amid escalating tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, indicating that the confrontation could extend to U.S. bases in the region if American policies there persist. The Guards announced that four ships violating navigation rules, which were carrying oil cargo, were damaged, in addition to three other vessels suffering damage after colliding with sea mines. They warned that continued such actions could lead to a broader escalation of the conflict. The statement emphasized that the American attempt to incite ships to cross the mine-laden passage increases tensions, warning that ongoing escalation might provoke military responses in the region. Conversely, the U.S. President declared that Washington is not currently engaged in negotiations with Iran, while Iranian officials reaffirmed that the country still faces military and economic threats and remains far from peace.
