Lebanese Forces Ministers Exit Over Explosives Issue

The ministers of the Lebanese Forces withdrew from the Cabinet session due to the failure to refer the explosives case to the Judicial Council, expressing their disappointment over the delay in referring the matter, which has been pending for about three weeks, and the lack of effective follow-up on the investigations. Minister of Industry Joe Hisa Al-Khouri stated that they presented a schedule regarding cases that had been referred earlier, a few days after their occurrence, rather than weeks later. Meanwhile, sources reported that the council is heading towards a decision to continue following up on the Dahyeh Bireh and Qasr explosives cases before referring them to the Judicial Council, amid developments in the investigation.
