Prime Minister Nawar Salameh emphasized the necessity of developing public transportation in Lebanon as a vital requirement to improve citizens' lives, especially amid the worsening traffic crisis that makes reliance on private cars essential. This situation increases living costs, consumes fuel, and contributes to pollution and noise pollution. He highlighted the importance of devising a plan to establish a modern transportation network connecting Lebanese regions, thereby reducing economic and environmental burdens. Additionally, Minister of Public Works Vayez Rassamni reaffirmed the need to restart and expand shared transportation services, aiming to provide 54 routes and 300 buses in cooperation with the public and private sectors, to enhance the system, improve transportation quality, connect regions, and reduce pollution.
