Salim bin Sultan seeks federation cooperation

The activities of the Fencing World Championships held in Hong Kong focused on strengthening cooperation between national federations. Engineer Sheikh Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, President of the Asian and Emirati Fencing Federations, held meetings with federation presidents to discuss the development of the sport and preparations for the 2028 Olympics. Additionally, Memoranda of Understanding were signed with seven national federations, including China and South Korea, to support the dissemination of the sport and increase its audience and commercial presence, as part of the preparations for participation in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. Furthermore, the organizing committee is preparing to host the Fencing Conference in Uzbekistan next September, to promote the future of the sport in line with the standards of the International Olympic Committee and the goals of the Paris 2024 and Brisbane 2032 Games.
