Dubai organizes Golden Jubilee Chess

The UAE Chess Federation announces the upcoming "Golden Jubilee" Rapid Chess Tournament at Dubai Club on August 25 and 26, to celebrate 50 years of the game's development in the country. This initiative is part of the federation’s efforts to promote growth and expand the reach of chess in schools and universities, as well as a celebration of the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival, one of the largest tournaments in Asia, featuring extensive participation from Asian teams and UAE players, in preparation for the 2028 Abu Dhabi Chess Olympiad. Additionally, the federation plans to organize a major event in December, with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, to enhance the game's prominence and develop the men's and women's teams for the Olympics.
