Al-Gharafa Club has signed Algerian player Ismaël Ben Nasser to strengthen their first football team after parting ways with AC Milan in August of last year. Ben Nasser, 28 years old, will compete for the first time with his new team against Al Hilal Saudi in the opening match of the Asian Champions League on Tuesday. Currently, Al-Gharafa ranks ninth in the Qatari League with 4 points. Ben Nasser joined Milan seven years ago from Empoli for 16 million euros. The same year, he won the Africa Cup of Nations with the Algerian national team. He has played 178 matches with Milan, including 137 in Serie A, and was a key player in helping the team win the league title in the 2021-2022 season, before suffering a serious knee injury at the end of the 2022-2023 season. He returned to play in December 2023 and underwent several loans, including to Marseille in France and Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia, before joining Al-Gharafa, as he aims to make a strong start against Al Hilal in the Champions League.
