Manchester City boss threatens legal action
A report has revealed that Etihad Airways, the main sponsor of Manchester City, is considering legal action against the English Premier League after its name was indirectly mentioned in a ruling concerning the club's financial violations. The airline confirmed its rejection of the findings and conclusions in the judgment and has begun legal consultations to protect its interests, following its disassociation from any involvement in the financial misconduct estimated at around 900 million British pounds from 2009 to 2018. This comes amid accusations by a league-affiliated committee that the club concealed illicit funding and criticism of how the results were announced, raising concerns within the company and threatening its ongoing financial support for the club.
