City contests ruling on violation case
Manchester City, the English club, announced that they have resumed their appeal against an independent panel's decision from the Premier League that convicted the club of financial violations between 2009 and 2018. The violations involved inflating revenues and artificially reducing costs, using "fictitious" deals and concealing the true financial situation. The club emphasized its innocence and stated that the evidence supports them, while also stepping up legal proceedings. They face potential deductions of points, fines, or even expulsion from the league. It is worth noting that the independent panel found that the club significantly breached spending limits and conflicted with league and European Union regulations. Everyone is awaiting the final results of the investigations into the case.
