Saudi team warns Al-Ahli over player exclusion
Al-Ahli Saudi Club faces the risk of being barred from featuring its left-back, Zakaria Housawi, in the upcoming clásico match against Al-Nassr scheduled for October 15. This is due to an injury he sustained while with the Saudi national team during the Gulf Cup match against Iraq. Housawi suffered a minor tear in his posterior cruciate ligament and will need two weeks to recover. He will undergo a new assessment in 10 days to determine his eligibility to participate. This match is critical for Al-Ahli as they aim to strengthen their chances in competing for the Saudi Pro League title, currently holding sixth place with 12 points.
