Norwegian Union Files Complaints Against Infantino

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has faced widespread criticism and accusations of possible fraud regarding three main issues: a plan to open the World Cup to private investors, which was thwarted after objections; a temporary suspension of 2026 World Cup star Folarin Balogun, following a phone call from Trump at the time of the penalty; and FIFA awarding Trump a Peace Prize, which was met with mockery. Norway's women's football chief, Liz Cavanaugh, accuses Infantino of illegally using his influence, with the complaint relating to Trump's involvement in club decision-making. It is noted that Infantino is under internal pressure, as he remains determined to secure a fourth term as head of the federation in the upcoming March elections.
