Neville issues stern warning to City
Sports analyst and former Manchester United star Gary Neville has stated that Manchester City winning the Premier League title this season will "open the gates to hell," in the midst of the club's serious financial misconduct accusations and allegations of hiding approximately 900 million pounds in fictitious deals over nine years. Despite City's denials of the charges and their readiness to appeal, Neville expects that potential penalties such as point deductions or hefty fines could hinder the club's ability to clinch the title, especially if they are crowned before the case is resolved in court by February or March. Neville also mentioned that the club might fail to pass the owners and directors' test in the league, which could complicate their future prospects of competing.
