Beki Stefan, assistant to the Portuguese coach José Gomes, expressed his displeasure over the long break's impact on Al Khaleej, which led to a decline in the players' rhythm and difficulty in maintaining a stable performance. This caused problems during the match against Al Wehda, which ended in a 1-1 draw. He confirmed that the break, especially under challenging circumstances, negatively affected their performance and caused the team's level to drop. He considered the result to be fair, given Al Wehda's control over large portions of the game and several opportunities that Al Khaleej could have exploited before the penalty kick. He also pointed out that the draw was satisfactory for both teams, acknowledging that the extended break was one of the reasons behind the issues they faced.
