Ex-France star condemns Mbappé's selfishness

Former France star Jean Pierre Papin criticized Kylian Mbappé's behavior in the Ballon d'Or race, expressing his dissatisfaction with the excessive self-focus and the directed media attention he displays, considering that it reflects excessive narcissism. He clarified that Mbappé's approach to the award lacks respect for the established standards and that he is overly concentrated on himself, despite his high abilities and impressive statistics. Papin praised Harry Kane's skills and wished for him to win the award, noting that the voting system doesn't fully suit Mbappé, despite his prominence and stardom. The winner is scheduled to be announced on October 26, 2026, amid widespread controversy surrounding the nominees.
